There are many wonderful beaches easily reached from Porto Ottiolu appreciated for the clear and blue coloured waters and white sands.
Some kilometres further north there are the magnificent beaches of San Teodoro, Port Coda Cavallo and the beaches of Cala Girgolu, Brandinchi and Lu Impostu; further south are the beaches of Budoni and the Posada valley with its gulf that ends at Santa Lucia, a small town which is worth visiting.

Budoni
5 kms south of Ottiolu, is the small town of Budoni with a beautiful white sandy beach 4 kms long surrounded by a long pine forest, easy to reach with a suggestive seaside walk or by bike on a flat path between small dunes and pine trees. There is also a large pond where if you are lucky you can see the pink flamingos.

Cala Girgolu

The Golf of Cala Gonone

The main peak of Monte Nieddu of San Teododro has breathtaking views, Monte Nieddu of Spoint is of noteworthy interest not to be missed for lovers of trekking and hiking by foot or by bike.
The Tomb of Giants of Su Monte e S’Ape
This Tomb of Giants is located 2 kms from Olbia. The Tombs of the Giants are made of large stone monoliths belonging to the Nuragic Age and are present throughout the island.
Mamuthones & The Mamoiada Mask Museum
Mamoiada, this quaint village in the heart of Barbagia 80 kms from Porto Ottiolu is known for its carnival traditions and in particular for the famous masks of the Mamuthones and Issohadores.
